Cleator General Store

Publication: Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette
Publication Date: July/August 2010

Bollinger Edgerly Scale Trains sells HO scale kits for the Cleator General Store, once located in Cleator, Arizona.

These delightful kits are laser cut with an innovation inner/outer wall system that does not require additional bracing once these walls are laminated together. The wall sections and card stock roof both come precut, and the engineering is topnotch. Everything fit perfectly. The included bag of white metal cast crates, barrels, and vintage people is a bonus. Styrene injected doors, windows and corrugated metal roofing. The strip wood is not color coded, but sorting the wood is simple. A decal is provided for the impressive sign on the faade, and a printed thin card sign for the canopy matched the proto-type. I assembled my kit following the instructions, and encountered no problems. I substituted Paper Creek corrugated roofing for the corrugated metal to save time. This building is designed to be placed on a sloped lot, and is an accurate representation of the prototype.
